GIVE US YOUR OPINION ON THE POLICIES, STAKEHOLDERS AND NETWORKS TO TARGET FOR THE WATER4ALL TASK ON “STRENGTHENING THE SCIENCE – POLICY – GOVERNANCE INTERFACE” !
What is the Water4All Partnership?
Co-funded by the European Union within the frame of the Horizon Europe programme, it aims at enabling water security for all in the long term through boosting systemic transformations and changes across the entire research – water innovation pipeline, fostering the matchmaking between problem owners and solution providers.
Within this partnership, Pillar C is designed for addressing the challenges and developing solutions for better uptake of innovative approaches and tools in policy making processes, and task C.1 for strengthening the science – policy – governance interface.
In this context, the Policy Support Working Group is working to identify research and innovation needs in support of implementing selected water policies and legislations.
The overarching aims of the policy support working group are to:
- Clarify the short/medium/long term policy expectations, and by doing so providing the research communities the insight they need to steer their RDI activities towards the policy needs.
- Identify and introduce recent innovations and applications that can already be of use for particular policy areas.
- Pinpoint the policy/legislation targets that the identified recent technologies can address.
First step: Identifying and selecting a list of policy areas to work on, and the most relevant stakeholders and networks to question and rely on for exchanges.
How: To do so, our methodology consists in working through an iterative and on-going process by asking feedbacks from different groups of stakehoders. After a first work within task C1.2 partners, a wider range of stakeholders are getting involved through this survey, from the Water4All partnership and outside.
Aim of this survey: To have your opinion on the policies to be selected for this work, as well as on the stakeholders and networks to target, in order to have a representative group on the topic.
WHY GIVING YOUR OPINION: This selection of policies is part of a process which will lead to a Thematic policy and technical gaps report, aiming at identifying the challenges on the selected policy areas. Two policy forum events (in the second half of 2024 and 2025) will also use this selection of policies as a basis for discussing policy expectations and research & innovation needs. You have the possibility at the end of the survey to indicate whether you want to be informed about these events and report publication.
